The Arty Space – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, purchases and visits to The Arty Space, operated by Jemma Finch t/a The Arty Space, 20 Northgate, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, WV16 4ET.
By making a booking, purchasing a gift voucher or using our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Bookings
Studio Sessions (Pottery Painting & Glass Fusing)

Table bookings are free of charge.

Payment is made in the studio on the day unless otherwise stated.

Studio sessions are allocated approximately 1½ hours. If we have another booking following yours, we kindly ask that your table is vacated at the end of your session. Where availability allows, we’re happy for you to stay a little longer.
Workshops & Events

Workshops and ticketed events must be paid for in full at the time of booking.

Minimum ages are shown on each workshop listing.

Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless otherwise stated.

Workshops finish at the advertised end time regardless of arrival time.
2. Cancellations & Transfers
Workshops & Events

Workshop and event bookings are non-refundable, except where required by law or where The Arty Space cancels the event.

If you cannot attend, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to transfer your booking to another suitable date or event, subject to availability and at our discretion.

Failure to attend without notice will normally result in the loss of your booking.

If we cancel a workshop or event, you will be offered either an alternative date or a full refund. Our liability is limited to the value of your booking.
3. Guest Artists
Some workshops are delivered by independent guest artists.
While we carefully select our guest tutors, they are responsible for the content and delivery of their own workshops. If a guest tutor cancels before the workshop takes place, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.
The Arty Space cannot accept responsibility for the teaching style, opinions or conduct of independent guest artists.
4. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

Gift vouchers purchased online may be cancelled within 14 days, provided they have not been redeemed in full or in part.

Lost, stolen or expired vouchers cannot normally be replaced or extended.
5. Private Parties
Private party bookings include exclusive use of The Arty Space.
A minimum booking value of £150 applies to all private party bookings. This minimum charge covers the exclusive use of the studio, staff time and the reservation of your booking.
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
The remaining balance to the minimum booking value of £150 is due 7 days before your party or event.
Payment can be made:

in the studio; or
-
via a secure payment link provided by The Arty Space.
The minimum booking value remains payable even if fewer guests attend.
Any additional guests, higher-priced pottery or activities, or extras requested on the day will be charged separately and must be paid before leaving the studio.
Groups of fewer than 10 guests are welcome to book a standard table during normal opening hours.
At quieter times or on selected days, we may offer exclusive use of the studio for smaller groups. This is at our discretion and subject to availability.
Party Cancellations
If you cancel your party:

More than 7 days before the booking date: your deposit remains non-refundable. Where possible, we will be happy to transfer your booking to another available date.

7 days or less before the booking date: the full minimum booking value of £150 (or any higher agreed booking value) remains payable, as we are unlikely to be able to rebook the studio at short notice.
Any transfer of your booking is offered at the discretion of The Arty Space and is subject to availability.
6. Finished Artwork

Pottery and fused glass require firing before collection.

We will contact you when your items are ready.

Completed work must be collected within 45 days of notification.

Items not collected within this time may be recycled, donated or disposed of due to limited storage space.

We are happy to post completed items at the customer’s expense. While every care is taken with packaging, items are sent at the customer’s risk unless additional insurance has been arranged.
7. Handmade Items
Every piece created at The Arty Space is handmade.
Small variations in colour, glaze and finish are part of the creative process and are not faults. Although every care is taken during firing, occasional faults or breakages can occur due to the nature of ceramics and glass. If a breakage or fault is detected we will also offer a full refund or for you to remake.
8. Photography
We occasionally take photographs and videos in the studio for use on our website and social media.
If you would prefer not to appear, please let a member of staff know and we will happily respect your wishes.
9. Children & Safety
Children remain the responsibility of their accompanying adult at all times.
Customers are expected to follow staff instructions and behave respectfully. We reserve the right to refuse service or ask anyone to leave if their behaviour is unsafe, abusive or disruptive.
10. Personal Property & Liability
Personal belongings are left at the owner’s risk.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to this, our liability is limited to the amount paid for your booking or purchase.
11. Privacy
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website and will apply to new bookings from the date it is published.
